CLIA Seminar@Sea on NCL Norwegian EPIC, Nov. 27, 2010

Thanks to an invitation from the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA), I attended a 7-Day Western Caribbean Cruise Seminar@Sea aboard NCL Norwegian EPIC! This Seminar@Sea Cruise was all about NCL Norwegian EPIC, the most innovative Cruise ship in the Travel Industry! There is one thing I can tell you about this ship, I felt a warmth, a comfort of being at home just like when I was on Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas. There are enough open spaces and lounges on this ship for everyone to hang out and enough activities for even the most boring person to find something to do! Entertainment like Second City Comedy show, Legends in Concert, Blue Man Group, shopping, casino, rock climbing, water park with the EPIC Plunge slide, bowling alley, an expansive children’s program, SPA, Gym and the list just goes on. I loved hanging out at SPICE  H20 club for adults and enjoyed the privacy of the hot tubs available there but we sure did had a great time on NCL White Hot Party Night, Ice, Ice, baby!  I aslo enjoyed the Legends in Concert show and especially the tribute to Micahel Jackson, that guy was great, danced, sang and moved like Michael, it was so unbelievable. He got a standing ovetion from everyone!

We had classes on Sea days and on Port days since I have been to Roatan and Cozumel before, Vickie and I just enjoyed the ship. We did go for a shore excursion to the Chaccoben Ruins in Costa Maya, which was a real educational treat for me since I have been to Egypt and seen the Pyramids, it was like looking at a smaller version with a little difference.

There are over 20 dining options on this ship, one of the best dining plus entertainment I enjoyed was the Cirque Dreams & Dinner Show, it was superb. We also tried specialty restaurants like Moderno Chharrasccaria a Brazillian Restaurant and La Cucina, Italian Cuisine. I most certainly enjoyed the food at the Garden Cafe which is Buffet style dining, TASTE Restaurant one of the two main dining rooms on the ship and the Manhattan Room a main dining option and a supper kind of restaurant with live music to dance to in between your meals! The food generally was delicious in all the restaurants we dined in!! The Garden Cafe actually had a Caribbean Night where they served Jamaican Jerk Chicken ummm, yummy, I can still taste it!

We inspected the various stateroom categories inside, balconies, deluxe balconies, handicap, Studio staterooms made solely for the single traveller, SPA Suites, Suites and my favorite the Courtyard Villas!! Well, I can tell you this ship certainly has it all! So all you have to do is book, pack and sail for a fantastic experience!

I  highly recommend a Cruise on this ship and in fact my family is sailing on her with our group in March 2011 because after viewing the pictures, they just decided Mom is not gonna have all that fun alone!! Hahahahhaha!
